There are significant differences between the process of frying snow and Pigment dyed wash in many aspects.   The following is a specific comparison of the two processes:

Definition and principle

Stir-fried snow washing technology

Definition: Fried snow is a dry frying without adding water washing process method.

Principle: The process first soaked the dry pumice stone with potassium permanganate solution, and then polished directly with the clothing in a special rotating cylinder.   Through the grinding effect of pumice stone, potassium permanganate oxidizes the friction points on the clothing, and the oxidation will make the cloth appear irregular and fade, forming a white spot effect similar to snowflakes.

Pigment dyed wash

Definition: Pigment wash/Pigment dyed wash, also known as "single coating/paint dyeing".

Principle: This process is designed for clothing dyed by paint, mainly by attaching vegetable dyes evenly to the surface of the fabric.   It is designed to consolidate the original gorgeous color and increase the softness of the fabric's feel.

2.   Application and effect

Stir-fried snow washing technology

Application: It is mostly used for finishing denim clothing to increase the visual effect and soft feel of clothing.

Effect: Forming white spots similar to snowflakes, making the clothing more layered and fashionable.

Pigment dyed wash

Application: Suitable for the dyeing of all cotton fabrics, especially popular in Europe, Pigment dyed wash as a natural and healthy dyeing process.

Effect: Pigment dyed wash the natural color of the fabric presents a nostalgic and elegant style after washing.   The more the color is washed, the more natural it is, and it will show different degrees of whitening effect in various parts according to personal wearing habits.

3.   Process characteristics and precautions

Stir-fried snow washing technology

Features: The process includes pumice soaking potassium permanganate, pumice and clothing dry grinding, snowflake effect on the board, cleaning stone dust, oxalic acid neutralization, water washing, softener and other steps.

Note: It is necessary to ensure that the concentration and penetration of potassium permanganate solution is moderate to avoid excessive damage to clothing.

Pigment dyed wash

Features: Green environmental protection, no damage to the skin.   The dye is naturally attached to the surface of the fabric, and the color fastness is relatively weak.

Note: Before the first three times of wearing, it is necessary to soak in concentrated salt water for 12 hours to fix the color, so that the degree of fading will be reduced after wearing.   However, compared with other dyed pants, the loss of color is still more obvious.   Hang as much as possible when displaying to avoid local fading and fading caused by overlaying.
